Catalog & Rights Manager

Terms of Service

Last updated August 20, 2026

Who we are

Catalog & Rights Manager (“the app,” “the service”) is operated by Distribution Media Services LLC (“DMS,” “we,” “us”), a company registered in California.

Principal address: 2520 W. 7th Street, Suite 200, Los Angeles, CA 90057
Mailing address: P.O. Box 17797, Beverly Hills, CA 90209

By creating an account or using the app, you (“you,” “your company”) agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

What the service is

The app helps film distributors, producers, and sales agents build film catalogs and, for accounts that use it, track rights deals, clients, and contracts. It is a business tool provided on an “as-is” basis to help you run your own operations — it does not provide legal, financial, or tax advice, and any AI-assisted contract extraction is a starting point for your own review, not a substitute for it.

Your account

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login credentials confidential.
  • You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account and any team members you invite to it.
  • If you add teammates, you're responsible for who you grant access to and what they do with it.
  • Let us know right away at the email below if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

Your data

The film, client, contract, and deal data you enter or upload belongs to you. We store and process it only to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You're responsible for having the right to upload any contracts, documents, or third-party content you submit to the app, and for the accuracy of the data you enter.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the app for anything unlawful, or to infringe someone else's intellectual property or rights
  • Try to access another account's data, or probe, scan, or bypass the app's security
  • Interfere with the service's normal operation (e.g. excessive automated requests, denial-of-service attempts)
  • Upload malicious files or content designed to disrupt the app or other users
  • Resell or sublicense access to the app without our written agreement

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Third-party data and services

Some film data shown in the app (posters, cast, synopses, etc.) is sourced from third parties like The Movie Database (TMDB). We don't guarantee the accuracy or completeness of third-party data, and you're responsible for verifying anything you rely on for a commercial deal.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep the app available and reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, change, or discontinue features over time, and we'll try to give reasonable notice of changes that materially affect how you use the app.

Limitation of liability

The app is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, DMS is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including business decisions made based on data stored, extracted, or displayed in it. Your use of the app to manage rights deals does not replace your own legal or contractual diligence.

Termination

You can stop using the app and close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms, non-payment (where applicable), or extended inactivity, with notice where reasonably possible.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.

Changes to these terms

If we make material changes to these terms, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify account holders by email.
